What a deep midnight blue it is...
Like I've always loved...
I've always loved such cold, dark nights...
Because then my friend appears
in the most striking brilliance...
Floating ever so lightly with his countless glittering companions
I've always loved winters
Because the fire feels so good
when it doesn't wrap my entire body in its warmth
There's still a couple of cold toes
and a chilly nose to keep my winter alive
I've always loved love...
The kind that is beautiful but half-hearted
Selfish, lying...truthful, and pure
But am I capable of dissolving my
self in the other?
Do I desire to erase the boundaries between you and I?
I protect my seams and surfaces
I guard my core and fireplaces
Because, how do I describe the place that is in me?
Oh, how divine, how lovely and powerful is that place...
So ecstatic that it is serene...
So quiet that it speaks to me all I need to hear.
So dark that all things are clear in sight
So bright that things turn invisible
How can there be less love
When there are reservoirs of it in that place?
Tranquil oceans of passion and stormy seas of repose
There is so much of it to quietly give
And forget...
Oh, look how many options we have
People and more people longing to receive
Oh, what a crowded, lonely world it is
And yet, I don't feel alone...
